yes, it is a tough choice... I am a fans of UNC, but now at Kelley. I hope to give you a fair suggestion.
In terms of marketing, Kelley should be better than UNC, especially you are interested in life science, it is one of few industries haven't been negatively impacted by downturn economics.
In terms of locations, I would recommend UNC, also great weather there. However, just consider how many top schools around UNC, darden, duke georgetown, just to name a few. In the mid-west, Kelley is a top school, we are far better than purdue, UIUC. Well, i don't compare kelley with kellogg, chicago or michigan.
Some common topics, I believe UNC's culture is the same nice as Kelley's. What UNC impressed me most is its professionalism. Now what I appreciate most from Kelley is the commitment from every faculty member, very accessible and very nice to students.
I know a lot of people will concern about jobs. Right now, in the U.S., it is toughly challenging. I talked to some people at Tuck or UCLA, they even feel that their situation is worse than Kelley. Well, everyone has different background, interest, it's hard to say who will get job or not. My feeling now is landing a job is like finding your Mr. Right or Ms. Right. It is 50% luck and 50% of your experience. What you can do before you come to b-schools is to confirm or find what you want to do, or even identify the company that you are interested in. i know it is not easy, but the ealier the better. You may use LinkedIn to find some alumni, talk to more current students, to know how many people got jobs in the your target companies.
All in all, UNC and Kelley is the same ranking school, both good. Neither choice will be a bad one. Just enjoy your offers and enjoy the time you have before the challengable MBA course. Good Luck and take care!
