Austin Introduction
My R2 choice too. Their process of applications is extremely quick. An invitation was extended a couple of days after the application was completed. I guess they did not receive many applications this year. I decided to attend the class in the morning and do the interview after that.
A second year male student interviewed me. He seemed to be a senior guy before MBA and his soft skills are good. He replied to my thank-you note. Questions:
- Walk
me through your resume. - Why…?
Goals…? Why…? Why…? - What
are your strengths? What you can contribute to McCombs community? What will you get from your MBA study? - A
teamwork experience.
Lessons Class visit before the interview may loose me up a little and get a feeling of the community, which is an advantage. However, I tended to loose my focus after a long day.
Later, I found at Chicago Booth that some students do the campus visit in day 1 and interview in day 2. I think it is a great idea but I time/cost are higher.
