The graduate advisor is very busy all the time, I can see her from my office. There are something I want to say: I dont know why people think the location is that important for graduate program. Big companies come from all over the country to recruit, we go to different locations to work. That's how the game is played. I dont know why people think if HR in business school is important. Even if you are not in that bschool, you can always take their courses, MSU LIR program always have networking event with alumni, MBA students. You want a job? Why spend time networking with another current student? You need to spend time talking to alumni, talking to recruiter. For you guys, the most important thing when you consider your choice, is whehter you can find an internship or a job. How many companies come to recruit, how many recruit international students, how many international students get a job/internship. The second thing to consider is, if you guys will have chance to hang out, have fun with domestic students; or you'll be stuck with Chinese, or Taiwanese, or Korean. If you want to improve your english, you have to be with Americans. I will introduce myself a little bit: I graduated from RUC, now studying in MSU, working as a research assistant for the director of LIR school, Bill Cooke. This summer I will be interning with Cummins, in Columbus Indiana. |
