We use to have a great time back in 2007, and we all got jobs, in big 4 and in industry. I think now it's more about the whole ecomony as many Americans are out of job, some big companies have stopped hiring international student to save the visa cost. In terms of the program itself, I think it's the best, it's more like a 1 year fast track MBA program, 80% of your class are with MBAs, and there is a vast number of electives you can choose from. In terms of job recruiting, Michigan has a very good relationship with top companies, school will help you regards interview skills, resume writing, presentation etc. I know all big 4 have a close relationship with Michigan, Kelly used to work at EY and many professors had big 4 experiences. But it's also true that most Macc graduates stay in Detroit office, and would be hard to go to the West coast, and some possibilities to the east coast, you need to be very outstanding during interview so you are worth to the recruiter to refer you to that office. Last point, Michigan has no GPA, so you can take whatever courses you interested the most and never worry about failing unless you never turn in your homework. hope that helps! go blue! |
