答案是D，可是自由选的是C，自由错在哪里呢？谢谢大家

选项(C)和(D)最大的不同在于(C)加the表特指, 问题是younger and older people并不包括在worker里面, 所以用(D)表泛指会比较好

SNAZZY，我发的问题不是大全或者OG的，是新东方的一些辅导资料中的题目，所以题号没有意义，我以后会把正确答案选项贴上来，因为觉得其他没贴的选项非常容易排除，比较简单，所以节省时间和网络资源考虑，自由这样贴出，不过以后自由除了问题选项，一定也把正确答案选项贴出，对不起哦鸭鸭，原谅忙的跟热锅上的蚂蚁的自由，自由好想赶快申请好最理想的学校后，早日回国，实在太想回国了

c) the younger  本身就表示"年轻人“，和 the older people 不平行

同意halcyon， the younger, the older表示一类人，不需要再加people。所以既然有people，就不要加the了。

惯用法：一般来说， the poor表示贫穷的人，the rich表示富裕的人。但成对使用时，应该省掉the，我们应该说：rich and poor,younger and older。这样， the youngerer and the older就unidiomatic。
请查阅《新编英语语法》,a very old grammar book, author章振邦，第三版710页。 (24.6A形容词做名词词组中心词)。如果没有这本书， 记住这个惯用法。
