you'd better read some finance journal papers, check some profiles of professors and students. Talking to them will be beneficial too. The asset pricing area might be model-driven, which needs your background. But the corporate finance area is mostly idea-driven, which most programs are good at.
Life is a tradeoff, so do not drain your passion before you find out the harsh gap between reality and expectation. btw, not many people did derivative pricing in b school.
