Veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery useful information. THank you for your kindness,c800
Anybody know more about queen's finance policy this year, please let us know. THanks a lot.
以下是引用c800在2004-2-6 15:19:00的发言: Hi all,
I have just found some threads in this forum regarding the loan and want to share info with you.
I consulted some Queen's alumni. It seems RBC's policy fluctuates every year according to economic situation. It is said almost all students of class 2003 got loan for tuition and living expense except one was not qualified. That guy managed to get loan from other bank finally. Rule was stricter for class 2004 and not everyone got full loan, I mean tuition plus living expense. I have no info for class 2005 so far. According to Queen's admission team, loan is not guaranteed and co-signer may be required.
The following message from wyxgeorge is very encouraging. "以下是引用wyxgeorge在2004-1-27 11:22:00的发言: The credit representative did tell me a cosigner was required last year, but is not necessary this year. I already applied by myself and am waiting for approval. If interested, you can call 1-800-769-2599 (option 4) to speak with one of a credit representative who is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.Good luck!"
So wyxgeorge, how is your loan application so far?
But I have also found the following from BusinessWeek from another landed immigrant who got offer from Queen's. Not very good news. "RE: RBC loan program
I have received an email from RBC. It says:
Those applying with limited credit history and/or little net worth may be asked to obtain a co-signor or provide cash collateral for the loan.
I don't know if my credit history is enough. I have spent 6 months in Canada, and the only credit I have had is my credit cards. I have sent an email to RBC, but get no response."
Hope to get more info from others
