OG 171: In 1527 King Henry VIII sought to have his marriage to Queen Catherine annulled so as to marry Anne Boleyn. (A) so as to marry (B) and so could be married to (C) to be married to (D) so that he could marry (E) in order that he would marry
answer D. OG's explaination to A is: Awkward and imprecise, A does not specify who is to marry Anne.
1。A so as to 错在哪里,怎么样使用会是对 2。E选项WOULD MARRY 为什么会unidiomatic /illogical?
i agree with Olivia, but OG's explaination doesn't always sound convincing here: 1, Awkward? -->what's awkward? 2, A does not specify who is to marry Anne.? --> are the queen and Anne lesbians? funny

'so as to' is precede by two verbs 'sought' and 'have ... annulled', it is ambiguous for 'so as to' to link to its logic subject. So 'so as to' is awkward.
