若是这处比较不了，还可以从这几处来比：

1）C选项的从句部分，太冗长，而这部分完全可以通过动词来简化。

2）where从句主语they指代模糊，不好。

3）ruled，built，abandoned明显有并列关系，C选项把这些关系都混乱了。
