奇怪！Prep 61和prep 101为什么相同的结构一个算错一个算对呢？

有GMAT tutor說: what代表"一個東東", 而句子想表達"多於一個..."
我是沒看出來....
我是覺得在這一題what/something都可以

C选项把something换成what语法上没有问题，区别在意思上，试比较
1. I want to do what I love for living
2. I want to do something I love for living
用what是在特指些什么；用something没特指

what从句的使用上总体来说就是what要在从句中作成份，所以去掉‘what’，句子中必须缺成分；
that/which只有在引导定语从句时在从句中作成份，但what不引导定语从句

61题如果改为 ... from what it appears is an ...就对了，这里it applears作插入语，what作is的主语，选项A错在was的时态上
101题如果改为 ... unveiled what is claimed to be ...就对了，试比较
nothing is what it claimed to be. what作to be的宾语，但101A选项的what从句不缺成分：what it claims to be sth.

另外claim to中间不加宾语，只有‘主语’ claim to be ‘宾语’, 没有 ‘主语’claim ‘宾语’to be ‘啥’

我觉得what和something互换没有错误 因为都没有具体说出来是什么东西

61题中错在it没有指代 不认为是插入语 在这里what是企图做appears的宾语的 what it appears作为主语从句做主语A 然后A SVO

101题改为unveiled what is claimed to be也不对 相当与是claimed what to be sth.  因为Longman中说道claim的用法是 claim that(即直接加宾语) claim to be但是绝对没有claim sth. to be sth. 所以错

就算是改成what claimes to be the smallest C也不对 因为what语义上是the smallest C它自己是不能发出claim这个动作的

what it appears was an ancient ground，it指代what, it appears作插入语，is是what从句的谓语动词, 但如果拿掉插入部分句意发生改变，所以这种用法的逻辑上有问题，但不是结构上的问题

101题：
若非划线部分(what it claims)改为 what is claimed 就可以接 to be the camcorder, 其中what作is claimed的主语，是被动，没有发出claim的动作，且claimed to并没有被分开

还有一个问题，第一个句子it指代company没错，what在主句和从句中都作宾语，unveiled what 和what it claims is
                                            

第二个句子，it明显没有指代对象么，我我觉得这个what从句和前面一个性质上有点不一样，这个what有指代对象，就是指代wooden spears ，再有it就重复了

我觉得what it claim is the world's…… ounces，这个句子是主语从句。what 在从句中应该是主语，what指代camcorder，变成camcorder is the world's smallest network digital camcorder.

同意！我也认为这是主语从句。

1.   在unveiled what it claims is结构中， what 既做了前面unveiled 的宾语

                                                              又做了后面句子的主语：it claims that what is the world's .....

                                                              或者也可以把it claims当做插入语来看。大家熟悉的do you think,  sb. think也有类似用法。Do whatever you think is right.

2. 在unveiled what it claims to be the ....结构中，what 做了it claims的宾语，也是正确的结构。有一个题好像是：animals that human beings are known to have forced to extinction.    animals 在定语从句中作宾语，和这里的what 在定语从句中做宾语一样。

这个题光凭这两个结构的不同，不能排除。考察点应该是在后面的比较上，要合理。
