怎么看很多学校都歧视本科是会计的，MSA非得找非会计背景的，想杀人。

有背景的话可选择余地大很多啊，UIUC, IU, Lehigh等都可以考虑啊

我先补充一个ＩＵＢ对于申请者背景的要求：

我发的邮件过去,问了U mich几个问题,得到的回复.

1.是不是必须要prerequisite courses才有资格申请呀?student profile比例大概是怎样的呀?

Thank you for your interest in our MAcc Program.  In order to be eligible to apply to our MAcc, we do require that all applicants complete the equivalent of five of the six prerequisite courses prior to our review of the application.  The sixth course can be completed after applying, but must be done prior to starting the MAcc.  All equivalent prerequisite courses must be taken at an accredited four-year college or university.  Our program takes majors from all fields.  43% of our students do NOT have a business degree (they have either Econ or some other liberal arts degrees).  57% of our MAccs have some sort of Business degree (finance degrees typically fall under this category).  We cannot determine whether or not you have completed the equivalent of the accounting prerequisite courses until we see official course syllabi for these courses.  The syllabus for each accounting course taken must include the following:  detailed list of topics covered in the course, title/author of textbook used, length of course (#weeks or months), how often the class met each week, structure of the class (lecture, discussion, presentations, etc.) and how the course was graded (exam, quizzes, homework, projects, etc.).

The letters of recommendation are required and one must come from an intermediate accounting professor.  If you have not completed the equivalent of the intermediate accounting course, then you would not be eligible to apply.  Only after you have completed one of the intermediate accounting courses would you be eligible to apply.

The TOEFL scores must be received by the end of April 2009 in order to be eligible for the Fall 2009 MAcc application process.  By taking the exam now, we should receive your scores prior to that deadline.  I am not sure where the December deadline is stated, but we do not have deadline requirements set in December.  We will not review your application until we get both test scores and a transcript showing the grades in the prerequisite courses.

4.我没看到你们对essay字数有要求,但是有limit吗?

The word limit is around 500 words, but we do not count them.  Try to keep the essays to a page to a page and a 1/3.   (spaced at a line and a half)

OSU 的小米特别耐心的，人也特别好.我问了他几个问题,还是一个接一个发了好多邮件的，他都很耐心的回答.

1.我有出去交换一年,但是在你们的online application上没有地方填交换一年的GPA 我该填哪呢?

Regarding your questions for Rob, I have a couple of answers for you. Regarding your GPA, only list your GPA from your graduating university. When multiple transcripts are received in such cases, the graduate school recalculates the combined GPA.

Also, to address your concern about not having your TOEFL submitted in time, you'll be fine. Get as much of the application completed by that date and we'll keep an eye out for your TOEFL scores even if they're received after November 20th

3.你们studeng profile大概怎样?

As far as the number of students from China, it's hard to give you an exact number, but out of a class size of 90, about 20% are international. Of that 20%, I'd say about half or more are from China. You would undoubtedly have more than a few classmates from China

4.以我的情况你觉得有戏吗? (看他特别善良,就问了...他回答的比较保守,不过看起来还可以.)

Regarding your credentials, I obviously have no say in the admissions process, but what I can tell you is that your grades and test scores will probably not be a limiting factor. On paper, you seem to have as good a chance as anyone, but the decision is based on the entire application and interview process with no specific aspect counting more than another.

5.我有推荐人在国外,可以让他们先把推荐信寄给我，然后我在放到大信封里一起给你吗?

As long as your letters of referral are sealed with the reference's signature across the seal, it won't matter if they send them to you or directly back to the school.  In regards to your question about the references' credentials, the recommendation letter includes the following instructions:
"Each recommendation must include the completed Reference Form as well as a separate letter from your recommender written and signed on academic or business letterhead stationery." Basically the letter that they include on stationary letterhead serves as authentication so they don't necessarily need to include their resume or business card.

6.我的GPA到底要加权平均吗?还是直接平均就可以了?

Your questions don't bother me so don't worry!

As far as your GPA is concerned, you only need to put in the GPA that represents most of your undergraduate coursework--which I believe you said is the one on the 100% scale. Again, don't worry about any conversions as we'll take care of that on our end after we have all of your transcripts.

UND 的刚回了我邮件哈,简直就是答非所问~不怎么认真的样子

不过她说了We do not offer a program that covers the prerequisites prior to enrollment in the fall,就是没有summer intensive类似的课了,

所以我是只有放弃的份了......
