prep2-61, 101 what从句

貌似楼上没理解句子意思。
what=the thing which，第一个句子：The electronics company has unveiled the thing which （the electronics company claims ）is the world’s smallest network digital camcorder。。。我也不太同意27楼的what在主句和从句中都作宾语，unveiled what 和what it claims is，因为the thing which ，这which后只能带一套谓语。如果照你讲的what在从句中作claims的宾语，那the thing（  ） is the world又是一句子，而不是定从修饰宾语the thing了。所以我赞成以前的前辈讲的it claims为插入语之说。
第二句：Researchers in Germany have unearthed 400,000-year-old wooden spears from the thing which （ancient lakeshore hunting ground appears  ）was an ancient lakeshore hunting ground as stunning evidence of human ancestors who systematically hunted big game much earlier than believed
the thing which（ancient lakeshore hunting ground appears  ）was an ancient lakeshore hunting ground 明显累赘不对。
改成the thing which to be an ancient lakeshore hunting ground，相当清晰的修饰，简洁无歧义。
