PREP解释上说如果后面跟is，it claims就看成是插入语，我觉得把it claims看成插入语很不妥，个人认为如果是what it claims is...后面is部分应该是定语从句省略that的形式，而what it claims to be...应该是claim的宾语＋宾补的形式，请各位NN指教这样的看法是否正确。

还有一个问题，第一个句子it指代company没错，what在主句和从句中都作宾语，unveiled what 和what it claims is
                                            

第二个句子，it明显没有指代对象么，我我觉得这个what从句和前面一个性质上有点不一样，这个what有指代对象，就是指代wooden spears ，再有it就重复了

是不是能这样解释,第一个句子中what=the thing which,等于是which引导了一个定语从句,which在该从句中做宾语,所以不能省,因为省了就没主语了.

第二个句子中what=the thing which,which在后面的定语从句中做主语,就省略了IT了.否则意思重复了.

这样大概好理解点,但是现实考试的时候不晓得有没有NN总结出什么规律来,否则这样做题速度太慢了.

第二个句子，it明显没有指代对象么，我我觉得这个what从句和前面一个性质上有点不一样，这个what有指代对象，就是指代wooden spears ，再有it就重复了--------it指代 spears不是重复， 而是单复数不统一
