翻了前面NN们的讨论，有人排除A的理由是and前面需要加逗号以表示两个句子并列。可是我翻白勇语法，发现可以用“句子1 and 句子2”的。而且我记得og10里面也有相关的例子（可惜开始按关键字找了半天也没有找出）。我去国外的网站上查了下，鬼子也没有说逗号错误的。请牛牛们指点

答案是C，从时态来说，选C没有什么问题。我主要想确认“句子1 and 句子2”这个语法点。

我同意白勇的说法，

用一个逗号就排除，这是只见树叶，不见泰山的做法。

句子a+句子b没错，但一般用于短句中，或是两句主语都一样的情况下，如：i am a student and he is a teach. I came home and had a sleep. 长句中一般都要求用逗号。
A)错在逗号在 and后：在 ...， that is xx miles wide and， —and后句子与that ...并列，所以只能用that ... and that的句式。 ...， that is xx miles wide，and if it...—and后句子与主句并列。如果把A)改为：that is xx miles wide ，and （理想情况，这里还的加一个”，“） if it strikes earth, it will...就对了。
