There are a myriad of preeminent inventors, in the long history of human beings. These great people, paired with their elaborate inventions, play a crucial role in the development of our society. As it comes to the most significant invention in the last 100 years, different people have different opinions according to their experiences and fondness. From my perspective, it is the Internet, which currently becomes an indispensable element in our daily life. Of the countless reasons or facts that can strengthen my standpoint, Here I will present three most conspicuous and crucial ones.

The first plain truth, I am presenting here, is that the Internet facilitates the communication between persons, companies, or organizations, wherever they are, as long as they can get access to the internet. Therefore, it makes the connection worldwide possible, which means a lot to the globalizing world, whose pace of development is just unprecedented. This invention is fairly conducive to, rather than detrimental to, the users. By virtue of the internet, people can talk with each other via a assortment of chatting tools while surfing on the internet, or even get a vivid picture of the other if a digital camera installed on their computer. Managers will receive their business correspondence more conveniently, instead of waiting a long time for the transportation on the way, especially oversea letters.

Secondly, behind my viewpoint that the internet is of greatest importance lies the fact that, as people frequently reckon, internet have already promoted, and still will surely accelerate the development of science and technology in the coming future. There is no gainsaying that the world experiences an unprecedented pace of progress recent centuries, particularly after the invention of internet. As a students in macromolecules, among the various methods of searching information, whether at home or abroad, the internet database is the optimal choice. With the help of internet database, you can download a myriad of up-to-state reference articles, highlights, reviews, or communications which are relevant and frontier to you research. Thus broaden your knowledge horizon, and more significantly, give you a comprehensive understanding of your topic. Occasionally, you can correspond with the primary author on the issue of you research, and fortunately, you will get his or her sagacious and constructive suggestions. It speeds up the improvement of the research. Such an interaction between the correspondents has brought far-reaching impact to the development of science. What if all of the students and professors do in this way? I can imagine the brilliant future.

Last but not least, internet provides us with plentiful of entertainment. Modern human beings suffers heavy burden both economically and emotionally. Admittedly, there is a wide assortment of inventions that affect our world profoundly. No one can be compared with the internet which exerts a profound influence both on individuals, organizations and other entities.
