题目：Dirt roads may evoke the bucolic simplicity of  another century, but financially strained townships point out that dirt roads cost twice as much as mantaining paved roads.

正确答案是B， 想问两问：

1， B项中为什么最后要来个do, A cost twice as much as B 这个形式不是很对吗？为什么还要加个do?

2,    C项中OG中说最后那一部分要改成to paved roads, 但是我觉得这样似乎也不与前面的maintaining dirt roads对称阿?

请各位NN帮忙解决。

首先问题一：

B里的dirt roads cost twice as much（构成了一个完整的主谓结构）as（第二个）后就必须也是一个完整的主谓，所以do一定要加，来对应前面的cost

问题二：

OG：Maintaining dirt roads
            is compared to paved roads
            in general

是指两个比较对象错了

并非所有的 as和than之后都要 加 do, 但是一般为了追求Parrellism要加,  这个解释起来很复杂。

正如2楼所说 这个的错误在于 两个比较对象错了
