我的问题是：在未划线部分since引导的从句中it的用法。若是指代前文的drgustore，显然逻辑意思不通。应该是it做形式主语，向后指代that从句，是这样理解吧？此外，since引导的是原因状语从句，对前文进行解释说明的，对吗？

since 后面的是强调句型

it is primarily prescriptions that attract the customers, who then also buy other health-related items.

primarily 是修饰 is 的，变为正常语态时可以去掉。

prescriptions attract the customers, who then also buy other health-related items.

替换后可以写成 (prescriptions are the cornerstone) is the case with traditional pharmacies.
