分词和从句作定语[讨论]

如果把原题改为：

As business grows more complex, students majoring in specialized areas such as finance and marketing have been becoming increasingly successful in the job market.
是否正确？

另外，用majoring in。。。和who major 比较有什么差别？
我知道从句修饰一次性，分次修饰重复性，可是在这里是因为这个原因吗？论简洁的话还是分词优于从句吧？

这我的一点理解:

分词强调伴随性、规律性、重复性，从句强调状态、结果、静态。
分词作定语表示长期，持续，一贯的动作；而定从则表示一个具体的，一次性的动作。
分词的完成式（having bought ）绝对不能修饰名词
在OG 96题中有对分词和从句的一点讲解.
