偶选的是A,可是白勇里说C:contrary to 后面必须加抽象名词修饰主句,而Gertrude Stein, Ezra Pound, and other expatriates,是实义名词.所以不对.  我对这个解释很不明白啊~~~

其实这是Contrary本身的定义决定了它只能修饰抽象名词。注意，这里的定义是指英文原文定义，而不是中文的字面意思。

According to LONGMAN Dictionary of Contemporary English电子版对Contrary的定义：contrary ideas, opinions, or actions are completely different and opposed to each other

本题把Contrary用在具体的人上面，就不对了。
