答案选B，不过B中的has contributed不符合整句的时态啊...我选了A，A项是不是因为for...to...容易引起歧义所以不是答案呢？

这道题很好，很tricky

选A的话，和后面的about 30 percent of the country’s foreign-born population was from Germany in/before 1890 是矛盾的

而选B的话，意思是从1890年后一直到现在，所以应该用现在完成时

第一， for ... to do sth 一般都是错误的

第二， 如果有since引导的时间壮语，事态一般要用完成时

这是我的看法，不知道对不对？

恩 ，如果是since，确实要完成时

如果for 。。。to do sth错误，那一般应该怎么表达？

怎么矛盾了呢

我觉得其实应该用过去完成时，表明从1890年到A March 2000 Census Bureau survey showed 为止，不应该表示到现在吧
