Frankly speaking, the salary in Singapore is still quite competitive. A normal engineer in engineering industry could easily get 70k SGD(1 SGD = 5 RMB) per year, after tax, and the average annual income in financial industry is about 126k SGD after tax.

However, the most important is family, so CEIBS is one of the most important choice.

比engineer的薪水没什么意思，除非你读完MBA还想做回engineer。现在的高薪只意味着你读MBA得机会成本比别人高。

在新加坡做到中层经理的可能性，大家都知道。而在中国，只要混得还算不错的，做到经理的位置不难。那时你的收入应该已经赶上新加坡了。

I am going to apply INSEAD, and it is my first choice if I can get its admission.

1 NTU毕业，degree with honor

2 MNC四年工作经验，公司在商学院中的reputation极好

3 GMAT 760

毕业后去了Shell中国，program manager。供参考。

1 上海交大毕业

2 MNC三年工作经验，同样的公司

3 GMAT 720

毕业后去了Boston Consultant。

No b-school can fufill your dream- becoming a consultant, unless you try your best to be qulified.

1.Before saying after b-school direction, you may think over why you?(Management Consulting or Financial Engineering )

2.Are you smart and diligent enough to survive the firece competition and heavy workload?(you may take family into account if applicable)

3.Could you list the top five companies for these two categories respectively?(many folks can't tell the differences btw so many consulting firms)

4. Last, how to fulfill your dream during your MBA study?

Then explore the strength and weakness of 5-7 B-schools, and narrow down to 2-3 schools.

There are many factors to think about like location, expenses,etc. But most importantly, faculty and students(alumni).

这都没有可比性。我还认识几个没有MBA，就是大本，也在上海的著名咨询公司混到中层。

这东西，咋比，全看个人造化。

这不是又回到毛爷爷说的本本主义了吗？

MBA是个加速提高的过程。我的朋友们职业发展本来就不错，拿到好的offer不奇怪。如果起点不高，寄希望通过MBA取得重大的突破，似乎期望值就有点高了。

其实我举例子的原因是想说明，国内有些MBA也不错的，能和INSEAD毕业生得到类似的机会。关键还是看个人的能力，而能力和工作经历的相关度很高。

如果不想拿奖学金，690似乎也够了。个人意见，供参考。
