一年半的工作經驗申請INSEAD可行嗎?

一直以來我只著眼在SAI (HEC, ESCP)和ESSEC上, 因為唸Grande Ecole項目是我的梦想. 可是最近因為前上司的一番話讓我改變了想法. 他說, 我是學工程和數學的人, 轉唸Grande Ecole的管理項目我可能会不适應, 也可能会發覺我不喜欢學習內容. 反而如果唸INSEAD MBA的話那只要九个月就可以完成課程, 万一發現不喜欢也不会太难过.

听了他的話以后我开始动搖了. 我將來想做的是投行金融方面的, 特別是algorithmic trading方面, 或者是分析員之類的. 我以前的工作就是做algorithmic trading的軟件的. 不知INSEAD MBA会不会不适合? 还有我只有一年半的工作經驗, 不知道INSEAD会不会不愿意給我一个面試的机会?

請大家給我一点意見吧! 謝謝

1.5的 w/e有点短

Insead似乎平均WE8年吧

想要短平快，可以考虑LBS的MiF

呵呵LBS當年一看我的CV就叫我不要申請他們的MIF, 因為我的工作"和金融一点关係都沒有" (MD, algorithmic trading还和金融沒关係?!)

2007 Insead Class -

0-3y 7%; 3-5y 29%; +5y 64%. More W/E helps you adpat to 1y program and also generates mutual value-added. 

My gut tells % of 3-5y will be higher in 2008 when I glance at admits profiles, reflecting insead's willingness to embrace younger applicants.

But not quite sure % change of 0-3y.

工作经验太短， 做金融软件跟金融实务差距蛮大的。

而且INSEAD也是以咨询为主的学校，而不是金融。

if you have 1.5 years w/e now and if you want to apply for jan 09 admission, by the time of enrollment, you will have slightly more than 2 years w/e, isn't it?  so considering that, maybe you are fine.

1.5 we is not sufficient. the average we in insead is 5-6Y. being an 1 year program, insead mba require more we. even if u r accepted, u can't be paid well after graduation. u can refer to their salary statistics. just starting salary as a graduate from grande ecole.

btw, i've graduated from a grande ecole, i have already 2 y we in financial information system (ie risk management is). i have worked in london, paris, shanghai. i speak english, french, mandarin well. however i don't think i'm qualified for this program at the moment.

average is 5-6 years with a decling trend. mba serves different purposes in different stages of your career. for less experienced, it's a perfect initial career booster (i.e. analyst -> associate in consulting and banking). it is also particularly handy if you wanna switch to a completely new industry, or new job function. if your purpose fits in the two then definitely worth giving it a try.
