What changed in your title matters a lot less than what changed in your levels of involvement and responsibility. It could make a significant difference if you could look for opportunities to contribute, to projects at work and in the community, then really spend some time to put together a thoughtful application. Good luck!
frankly i am very sad. I wanted to go to Chicago not only because of the school's reputation but also because there's someone I love there. now that i got dinged at Chicago, I also lost the connection between us two =( I took GMAT in late December and spent 2 weeks writing my essays. I guess I deserve that ding... and there's no way i will get promoted to manager this year, so i dont see a huge career progress in the near future that will strength my application for R1 next year.
This is fate, and i am still learning to accept it.
Good luck to everyone else.
Fully understand your feeling... I used to do that kinda thing as well, loving something becasue someone loves that. But life has taught me a bloody lessson (no exaggeration) that I should follow my own soul....
No one can predict the future. You still have chances next year for GSB or you can try kellogg.
