Oxford MBA Vs. Boston U MBA

各位战友，我最近收到几个offer，英国的就是Oxford，美国的有Boston U，U of North Carolina，Iowa U 和Brandeis U。除了Boston U有一年两万的奖学金，其他都没有奖学金。

我喜欢美国，工作好找，而且接受外国人程度高，但是Oxford很牛，虽然它的MBA历史不长，但是看它的资料，上一届MBA90%在毕业后三个月找到工作，而且平均年薪有65000磅。

我的目的是读完之后留在国外找工作的，撇开费用问题，大家会如何选择?

Iowa and Brandies should not be in your consideration. Boston U is even not as good as Boston College, though its location is good. Anyway, it is not regarded as top 30 in US. (While UNC never falls behind top 20)

You should weigh between UNC and Oxford

If the market of US could stop going south, you would have high chance of getting job in US. UNC ranks only next to Duek in the South is very reputable.

Oxford also has its advantage. The ranking is picking up and big name generally. But the same as Yale, the MBA program is young and still has some time to grow.

Dear,

I am facing the same question when choosing Oxford vs CMU Tepper.

I want to work in IB, sales and trading department as a marketer. I prefer to work in Asia(HK).

Can somebody share any information about the:

1. career service  2. alumni network 3.job opportunities compared two schools.

nomade, that's so funny, because I am choosing between Tepper and SAID also. How long does Tepper give you to make your decision?

To answer your questions:

Tepper definitly has a better career service center than SAID

I think SAID has a more diverse group of students than in Tepper, but there are a lot of the same recruiters to both schools. Also it's two years in Tepper vs one year in SAID. 

Is there a particular company/s you are looking at? Both schools list the recruiters on their website

I am in favor of Oxford. Just as the recent economic recession in the states may take at least two years to recover, so you'd better take job hunting factors into consideration. UK is a better choice.Generally speaking, graduates of Boston U can not get a huge competitive edge when compared to those of Oxford.

Don't know how Pittlzm and doudou7 make the decision.

For me, between Ox and CMU, i try to seek for any scholorship chance and see which school will finance my tuition more.

Besides, I am on the waitlist for other better schools. Due to huge deposit requested by oxford, it is very possible that i will give ox up and pay CMU's deposit first, and then see if any chance to get off the waitlist.

Choosing between schools is really hard no matter how many works you do and how many chat you done with current students. What can we do is pick up one you like and enjoy it.
