hehe, here's my stat. gmat 750, gpa 3.7 undergrad (top school in china) and grad. media. almost 4 years of working experience. 2 years in nyc and 2 years in asia.

i believe your media background make you standing out since most ppl look for columnbia want to do finance. also i think ppl in US have better chance to get admitted.
