Thank you all so much for answering my questions.

One more: If I apply for the Jan 09 intake, is there a difference between R2 and R3? Is Insead application process like those of the US bschools, meaning, applying R1 and R2 is a lot easier than applier R3?

All ppl(Chinese) here except one or two got I-Bank offers targeted at consulting firms I bet the competition at INSEAD is much more fierce than at Darden or some other top US bs, as many decide to stay in US with whatever jobs.Nobody thinks about stay here in France. Most ppl will go back to AP region finally.

Is Darden even comparable to Insead?

I admit that Darden is a great school, but in my mind, only US M7 are comparable to Insead

No offence, but I think Darden is only second tier...so are you suggesting that Insead is just second tier??

as a chinese at INSEAD, getting an interview invitation from mckinsey and bcg (but not bain) is not very hard, but this is all that INSEAD can give you, the rest is really depended on yourself

i don't know much about Darden at all, (and i don't think Darden is strong at ib&mc)
