Actually the prospects of class of 2010 is better than that 2009.  It is totally hopeless for class 2009 to land a job in next year.  Class 2008 is better because of committment from past internship.  However, they will be the easy target for the coming massive lay-offs in the banking sector.  Class 2010 will have a tough time to get summer internship because of hiring freeze but if the recession this time is short enough, the hiring will be back again in 2010.  I would say, those people who failed to get in a MBA school this year may have a better luck.  Class of 2011 will be the luckiest one for getting a job during next boom time.
