话说回来，Finance虽然历来是申请大户，可是招生人数依然少得可怜，连Stern那么巨型的金融系，也只收四五个新生。

刚刚跟朋友聊天，原来UIUC好像这几年每年都是发8个offer，不发waitlist，最后来多少个算多少个

No, only students in Acc get new Dell laptop. Finance guys have no office, no laptop, and no PC with not quite decent assistantship. Also, you can check the website, Acc students get 24000 for nine months, plus the summer assistantship.

Maybe you are talking about before. Starting from this year, first year Finance PhD got tablets, including my friend who told me that.

Hey tzuchang, are you a current PhD student at UIUC? Maybe we are/were in the same class, heeh...

I don't know too much about the finance PhD program, but I like their seminars and forums..
