Some people prefer to live in a small town. Others prefer to live in a big city. Which place would you prefer to live in? Use specific reasons and derails to support your answer.

I would like to live in a big city. I grew up in a small town.. Now I stay in a urban city for my collage. My hometown is a very peaceful town with fresh air and charming views. Everything in it is not complicated. But it still has a lot of problem, such as opportunity of jobs, entertainment and some parts of life.

 

In my opinion, the most problem is the opportunity of jobs. Companies all prefer a big city to a small town because of the large market in the urban city.  Part time jobs are crucial to collage students. In this way, we can gain experiences. We can get some challenge jobs in big companies which are faced the most competitions with the same sort of companies in the world. In urban city, we can gain the true job experience. But in the small town, the only part time job is helping parents doing housework or helping our neighbors hoeing the flowers. We have done it since we were children so that we can not gain any experience that can be used in my future career. Therefore, the opportunity of jobs is the main reason to me to choose the big city.

 

Another sort of problems, such as traffic, education and shopping, is in some parts of life especially in our daily life. As far as I know, lack of libraries always appears in most of small town because of small population. In fact, people who live in small town have the same need of knowledge as that live in urban city. Shopping is another part of life which is worse than that in big city. Goods in urban city are much better than that in small town in kind and number. Need decide market. All goods in big city are the best and most so that we can buy everything you want. But goods in small town are out of date and little. Therefore, people in the same town always buy the same good.

 

“All work no play makes Jack a dull boy!” Entertainment also is a problem in small town. There is only one cinema, only one shopping mall, only one gym in the most of small towns. If we want to watch film, we have only one choice. After several months since we live in a small town, we will be too familiar with the whole town to have interest in it. We will not want to find any fresh things after working. Life will be boring and boring. As the result, we will be dull boys and dull girls! On the contrary, urban cities give us all kinds of entertainment, and even young people would love to play some dangerous activities. We relax well in big cities.

 

In short, a big city is too temptating not to be choosen. An urban city, as shown above, has opportunities of job, good quality of life, more facilities of entertainment.

Many teachers assign homework to students every day. Do you think that daily homework is necessary for students? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

It is necessary for students to do homework which are assigned by teachers every day. Experience of studying is a long span in one’s life. To keep knowledge firmly, homework play a main role in it. The factors to urge students to review knowledge that have been caught and build the interest of researching knowledge contribute to learning knowledge well. In addition, homework is one part of class. It is means that doing homework is to have new knowledge.

 

The most critical reason to support the necessity of doing daily homework is to urge students’ reviewing what have learned in time. Some students, especially elementary school students, cannot control their behavior. When they are playing, anything about studying but homework which will be checked next day will be forgotten. On the contrary, if there is no homework every day, students who never review lesson in other ways will have low scores and gain nothing. Homework is like a teacher who companies every student to urge their reviewing knowledge every day.

 

As the easy saying goes “practice makes perfect!” A more subtle point which we must consider is that doing daily homework is one of the best ways of practice. In this way, we will be familiar with what we have learned. It will be easy to learn something further. At the meanwhile, we will build the interest of what we learn, or we will find something related as our interest. On that account, our reviewing what we have learned will not be urged but be on the initiative. Our attitude towards studying will be changed.

 

In fact, homework considered as a part of class is a way of learning new knowledge. For example, I always have the feeling that when I am learning some new knowledge on class, I often cannot learn clearly and specifically. Once I have my homework done, I will gain much further than before. What teachers give us is only the surface of knowledge, while it is something further that is useful to us. Therefore, not just to keep knowledge in our mind firmly but also to research new and further knowledge is doing homework.

 

In conclusion, doing daily homework is necessary for the reason that it help us to make a conscious effort to review lesson, use knowledge that we have proficiently, develop our interest and research new knowledge.
