Animals, we see mostly on TV, in the zoo, at home, recently take new roles in the medicine test experiments, devoting their lives to drug test. In result of this, they are named "medical animals". It leaves us a question: Is the test justified? Some people speak highly of this new access in medical field, for it is surely good for humans' health issue and may offer assist to the inventory of new drugs, while the others are object to it, accusing it because it lacks justice and morality, and argue it might bring some incredible and unpredictable troubles to nature. As far as I'm concerned, I’m inclined to the latter view. My arguments for this point are listed as follows.
The predominant contributor why I refute the medical animal being used in medicine test is that this experiment neglects animals' right to live. Scientists, in order to reduce the harm medicines bring to humans, are irresponsible to take advantage of animals’ live. Naturally born, naturally die, water and food fed, humans and animals are no doubt the same in quite a few sides. We share the same environment, the same resource, the same sunlight and the same life. However, humans regard themselves as dominators of the others and deprive the privilege of animals to live. It is reported that during a study of a certain tested medicine, about thirty mice and rabbits were injected the medicine and most of them died. Obviously, animals suffer a lot in laboratory: they are forced to take pills, absorb toxic gas and get injection. It is human who despoils chances of those charming creatures to watch the sun rising, to smell the flower blooming, to enjoy the breeze blowing.
In the second place, another reason why I reject the test is that it may destruct the varieties animals’ gene bank. We will never know what would happen to these animals after they receive the medicine, some may catch diseases, some may die, but the most astonishing case is the change of gene. However this vary, brought by human activities instead of nature evolution, will be kept by heredity. Some odd genes are brought in, and then great deals of horrible changes are worked out on outside appearance. A news report shows that till now, the chicken with three legs, the mouse possesses a ear on the back are founded, even terrifying infant born with no eyelids. Not to be exaggerating, the medicine test not only pollutes animals' gene bank, but also enormously influences that of humans. All the creatures, including ourselves, are involved in the companied effect of these experiments.
In conclusion to my opinion, animals and humans are in coequality statue. As a result, none of us have access to deprive the others' lives except nature. The drug test severely offences the animals' privilege to live, and also has the tendency to contaminate the animals’ gene bank, which may damage the ecosystem balance. We’d better to find another kind of approach to carry on the test without the usage of animals.
