On behalf of the Ph.D. Committee, I want to thank you for your interest in the UniversityXXXX and the time you took to visit with me. The Ph.D. Committee met earlier this week and made some very difficult decisions. Two offer letters have been sent to candidates who the Committee believes best fit the objectives and available resources of the program. However, the Committee remains most interested in you because of your credentials and your commitment to obtaining a doctoral degree. At this time we are not in a position to make any additional offers; however, we are keeping your application active. If resources should become available, we will be in contact with you concerning any continued interest you have in being accepted into our program. It is the intent of the Committee to make all final decisions concerning acceptances to the doctoral program by the end of March.
