答案是C，我估计可能是出于平行的考虑，C确实是唯一在结构上平行的选择

但是对OG熟悉的朋友应该都记得，OG上有大量的题目，因为原选项遗漏了转折项而被为认定错误

在这里原选项包含了明显的转折意味，但是C中转折词被完全放弃了

而保留了转折词然而不够平行的D却被保留下来（D似乎没有其他语法错误，读起来也大致通顺）

这是不是意味着平行的意义要大于转折语义的保留？

大家看看work的修饰对象，好象又修饰children的嫌疑，如何区分到底是修饰women还是children呢？

感觉只有C中worked做主语的谓语，说的过去，其他的都不太好。大家看看

除了c都无法解决歧义的问题，比如d

事后看看，文中while表示对比 答案中的分号可以表现这种对比，而选项d中 转折太强烈，逻辑上意思古怪
