Parents are the best teachers.

 

We have a lot of teachers through our life, some in school and some outside school. I have to say that parents should be considered as our teachers to some extent, even though not many people realize this point. Parents can teach us many things that we can not learn at school. What’s more, in my opinion, parents are the best teachers for several reasons.

 

One reason is that parents and we have a very close relationship, and they teach us a lot of things even before we go to school and when we study in school as well, which are very important for our later life. When we were children, they taught us how to eat, how to walk, and how to speak. When we grow up, then they teach us how to be polite, how to make friends, and how to face difficulties. All of the knowledge above could not be totally learned in school. Moreover, these things we learned from our parents when we are children would influence our whole life in a very deep way. For instance, people often behave rudely, if they parents did not teach them how to be polite when they were young. In short, we learn the most essential knowledge from our parent when we are young, so for this point, our parents should be regarded as the best teachers.

 

Another reason is that parents live with children everyday and they know us best. Parents remember everything happened during our childhood, such as what we like and dislike, when we may be happy and when we may be sad, what is our strength and what is our weakness. Therefore, parents can teach us in the best way, because they can teach us according our characteristic. For example, they can give us perfect suggestions that just fit us. In addition, children are more willing to accept suggestions from their parents, because of the close connection between parents and children, which means, parents can be regarded as more effective teachers in some way.

 

The last and perhaps the most important reason is that parents love us mostly, so they can give us all the knowledge they know. Furthermore, parent can teach their children more patiently because parents never feel tired to teach their own children. Moreover, we can learn from our parents no matter how old we are. They are always ready to give us some useful suggestions which may be hard to get from other people.

 

To sum up, parents are the closest people of us in the world, so they can teach us in a better way and they can give us knowledge which is hard to get from other people. All of these things demonstrate that parents are the best teachers in the world.
