[求助]请教：我的背景，可以申请到好的JD program吗？

国内会计本科，GPA 3.8，毕业后直接来美国读accounting的master，GPA也是3.8左右，刚刚毕业，过了AICPA，马上可以申请到MA的执照。

但是一直对会计不是很有兴趣，对法律很有想去，现在家庭比较稳定，觉得应该在年轻的时候为了自己喜欢的东西好好努力一下，所以准备花时间好好考LSAT，如果能考到很好的分数就申请JD。

对法律申请不太了解，想请教各位，像我这种背景，以后想读corporate law，LSAT一般要多少才能申请到好的program呢？top14有没有可能呢？

Your UG GPA is good enough for almost every T-14 school and you should be able to get into several if you can score LSAT around 170.

Also something you might want to consider because of your accounting background.

Tax
law is very good practice area and it is usually pretty tough for most
law school graduates because most of them arent that good on doing
something everyday related to lots of numbers. So if you decide to
choose tax law, you might have a better chance to landing a firm you
like, and the chance of being promoted to partner is better than other practice areas.

But
you might need to do a tax law LLM in addition to JD though, there are several top schools
provide program like JD-LLM and you can get both degrees in seven
semesters, such as NYU(best for tax), GULC, Duke(three-years only) etc.

Very good suggestions! I am good at both the individual and the corporate taxation and it's good to know that tax background can improve my credit!

That brings another question now. Do I need to take some jobs in the tax area during this preparation period to strengthen my background?

If I was you, I wouldnt worry too much about the working experience related to tax before applying to law school.

Remember
LSAT and GPA are the most important factors in deciding which school
you will get in, so spending every possible minute on preparing LSAT
should be your priority now.
