请教：推荐信的一个问题

我的一个推荐人正在国外读书，估计最近是太忙于考试，发现deadline将近，他还没提交网上推荐信。正在催他。我的问题是：

我在deadline之前提交了申请，而推荐人晚了几天提交推荐信，我会被算到是下一轮的applicant吗？

这个可能各个学校的policy不同，你可以问一下学校，不过最好还是赶在deadline之前吧。

我觉得推荐信应该是可以晚几天的，但要跟学校先联系一下。去年我的推荐人就是太忙，没时间提交，他给学校打了电话，学校同意了。后来他是先给学校传真了推荐信，后来补寄的。我想推荐人主动给学校打电话反而还能表明你推荐信的真实性。

my recommendors submitted RLs one week after the deadline of Wharton R1, and my gf's reommendors submitted theirs ten days after the deadline.
we both got interview invitation for Wharton R1.
adcom did not complain anything about my delay but did complain about my gf's.

For Wharton, I "Ask Alex" this question, and has not got reply yet. Your poster makes me feel better.  R2 is almost the last hope in application.

of course, member of adcom would not like to respond to such kind of questions.
on the one hand, they don't want to encourage applicants to submit RLs laterly;
on the other hand, they do accept RLs submitted after deadline.
this is a tacit policy which should not be explicitly clarified.
