习作两篇,有砖尽请拍~~~

alatino Linotype";">Although I understand that some students prefer to focus all of their energy on the first-choice schools during their application programs, I think it is better to focus on several schools. I do have the following reasons to support my opinion.

alatino Linotype";">

alatino Linotype";">We all know that it means more opportunities if you apply for several schools. Application does not assure admission. Moreover, the schools that many students desire to enter have many competitive admission criterions. Besides your achievement in the senior high school, like GPA, and high score of the admission test, like SAT, TOEFL, some schools also require the candidates have taken part in some special activities, for example, social activities, community service and even international experience. Moreover, the reference letters from your teacher and the staff of the community are needed. The admission offices of the school are doing everything to ensure that only excellent qualified applicators are accepted. Even the top students are not sure that they will receive the offers from their first-choice schools. Therefore, applications to two more schools do provide yourself more opportunities to be admitted by one of your favorite universities.

alatino Linotype";">

alatino Linotype";">Additional, more researches of more schools are helpful when you select universities. Each school has its unique characteristics, for example, location, program setting, history, etc. After your researches and comparisons, you will find the second-, third-choice schools are also great. Furthermore, how do the schools evaluate the candidates, in another words, which qualities do the schools concern most will be discovered through comparisons. This is useful for you to prepare the application materials.

And they have to separate their limit energy on several schools. However, first I think applications to two more schools will not cause financial crisis. Second, we will face more complicated situations after we enter the universities. We will be required to handle diversity of work simultaneously. So why not learn from now?

alatino Linotype";">Some students would like to take distance-learning course for some reasons, while other students prefer to have the traditional class with a teacher. Both options have advantages in some aspects. I think it is better to combine the two options together.

alatino Linotype";">

alatino Linotype";">On the one hand, distance-learning though internet provide convenience for students. Students can make study plans according to their own schedules. For example, some students, who hold full-time jobs, can have lessons after work or in the weekend if they choose to take the distance-learning course. Some would like to listen to the lectures again especially before the exams. Another important benefit is that students do not need to make appointments with professors and wait outside the office, they can just send their assignments to the professors by emails, and the professors will check them and give advice, then send them back. Both of the students and professors can do it when they are available. Of course the distance-learning is not perfect, because students miss the chances to have face-to-face discussions with their team members, while communication is also an important skill they should learn in the school.

alatino Linotype";">

alatino Linotype";">On the other hand, there are also some benefits to study in traditional classroom settings. First, under the management of the teachers, students, especially ones who are lack of self-control, will study more efficiently. In addition, students have the opportunities to develop the communication skill with classmates and professors as well. It is also easy for the students to exchange views with the professors during the lecture, which is helpful for students to absorb knowledge better.

alatino Linotype";">

alatino Linotype";">Obviously, both types of course have advantages. It is wise for the students to take both advantages. Students can study independently and review the lectures anytime they need by taking distance-learning program. At the same time, they also can attend traditional classes which give some experience that the computers can not offer.
