31.Some people spend their entire lives in one place. Others move a number of times throughout their lives, looking for a better job, house, or even climate. Which do you prefer: staying in one place or moving in search of another place?
Different people have different attitude towards living patterns. Some people spend their entire lives in one place. Others move a number of times throughout their lives, looking for a better job, house, or even climate. From my point of view, I prefer the idea of moving in search of another place. In the first place, I am fond of gaining various living experiences. Different places will offer me probably a completely different environment. I will be very exciting when confronted with some new things, like the buildings, the facilities, the spuares and the new people. Secondly, I believe different climate will bring people different feelings towards life. Take me for example, I used to live in Xi'an, an old city in the southwest of China. It has distinguished seasons every year. The weather is severely cold and dry or hot when in winter or summer while it is fairly warm in spring and cool in autumn. However, when I moved to Kunming---the "spring city" in China at the age of ten, I knew what a place where the four seasons are all spring like for the first time of my life. I fell in love with the city at the first sight! Because of the climate, there were so many kinds of flowers which I had never seen before; the fruits there are very sweet and delicious, which made can't help eating them one after another. What's more, you may obtain a better job opportunity by moving to a different place. My mother used to live in a small town in the north of Shanxi where the education and the economic development are fairly backward. Then she went to Xi'an in the hope of finding a job that will enable her to put what she learn into practice. Finally, she made it. However, spending one's entire life in one place do have some benefits for some people when compared with moving in search of another place, for you needn't worry about the challenges you may have to deal with when go to a new place. You also won't experience the changes which you may hardly adapt to. From what we have discussed above, we can safely draw the conclusion that also both of the two choices has twe folds, the advantages of moving to new places for a number of times throughout one's life far outweigh the disadvantages of it. So I will definitely choose the latter choice if have the chance! |
