B的were suffering because food supplies were dwindling似乎没有A的were suffering from dwindling food supplies表达简洁啊

这题不容易。我觉得B正确主要是因为时态。A的dwindling+resulting造成了时态的不明确。而B用were。。。were构造则更清晰。

*分词做伴随状语只有两种功能

1， 伴随动作、状态

2， 伴随结果

A选项把resulting from当作伴随原因 所以错

如果非要用resulting ，那么就用resulting in＋结果

*increase(n.) > increasing

分词 做状语的时候，不能表原因；但是分词作为定语的时候可以用resulting from来修饰某个特定事物的由来

不知道我这样解释是否合理
