it sucked, i didn't get the right answer, but now i understand: 1, 'on' here is connected to 'changes', meaning how changes in work condition will affect the workers' performance 2, u will not consider ACD 3, E is OK but redundant, what clause= noun. i was trapped there
Read the question again, I make clear that why investigating is better than to investigate. Because the whole sentence is "... works... was ...... of experiments", after that we should choose a choice to modify the experiments, not to describe the purpose of the whole sentence. So here "investigating" is better than "to investigate". Right?
