C中句子结构比较乱。have been discovered做什么成分？而且the bones of a meat-eating dinosaur, M atopus, distantly related to...产生歧义，是bones related to T,还是M atopus related to T. 逻辑上看，很显然是M atopus,因为后面讲到closely resembled South American predatory dinosaur.是一种恐龙。骨头不能想恐龙。所以这句的结构混乱，导致歧义产生。

这道题我当初也在A,C间不定，不过犹豫再三还是选了A,具体为什么也说不清楚，就是觉得相对来讲更加顺眼一些。今天又看到MM up了帖子，所以觉得似乎一定要逼自己把这道题好好弄清楚了。

我来解释一下为什么不能选C吧。

首先 Majungatholus atopus 作为插入成分修饰a meat-eating dinosaur，愈发上来讲有歧义。举个例子：the brother of my friend,Tom, came to see me today. 究竟谁是TOM 呢？ 当然你可能说bone 绝对不会引起歧义， 被 Majungatholus atopus 指代，可是在语法上还是有这个歧义存在的。

第二，既然Majungatholus atopus只是插入成分，那么后面的distantly related to Tyrannosaurus rex and closely resembled South American predatory dinosaurs,语法上一定是修饰这个插入语前面的部分。那到底是the bones of a meat-eating dinosaur 还是 a meat-eating dinosaur呢？ 逻辑上肯定是后者，可是语法上就没有办法分清楚。

由这道题，我们同时也可以看到不是说用定语从句就一定罗嗦，在太多插入语和分词结构的句子里，有时候定语从句可以帮助去除歧义。

非常感谢Icanw的回答，我终于明白了，这两天也做了几道这方面的题目知道了定语从句的优势，我觉得你说的第一个歧义的问题A选项也是存在的，如果说C选项错误了肯定就是因为没有使用定语从句导致修饰上的歧义。这么长的事件终于弄明白了！太开心了！谢谢你。也谢谢其他帮我解释的朋友，祝大家好运。
