觉得这题的答案值得商榷。

如果说其表示伴随状况，是否在while前应该有个逗号呢？

如果不是表示伴随状况，那么，在while 与 sparing 之间必然省略某些成分。一般说来，应该是省略了主语和主动词。可是，有谁能补足省略的成分而使句意清楚呢？

相比之下，我觉得B更好。虽然有点it指代不清的问题。但是，因为前面的it已经指代了the Listeria bacterium ，那么此处也指代它，应该是比较清楚的。更何况，the Listeria bacterium 是第一个从句的主语呢？
