个人认为这里考的不是in addition to 和besides，考的是对称

the brewed leaves of ... may also play a role in reducing the risk of , 前面也应该使用动名词preventing or inhibiting

不能选B，因为不能用代词it， 因为后面的the brewed leaves 是复数的形式。

谢谢大家的讲解，明白了Ｅ的正确，还是想知道"in addition to "and  "besides"的区别，没有区别吗，我看答案破解上这个作为了一个很大排除选项的原因，但是他就是说有区别正确，不能用"in addition to "，但是没说为什么呢？

最好还是in addition to,介词短语比较好，但这里很明显是单复数和and or得问题：）

its不对，排除ABC

另外，possibility后面接of+ doing,不用不定式。

在牛津里面用in additional to sb/st 和apart from sb/sth 来解释besides, 应该没什么差别吧，觉得这道题考得不是这个考点
