答案是B，看了若干种解释，说A不对，是因为the previous year’s costs were cut in half意思错：不应是先前年份的成本被砍掉一半, 而是成本消减到只有先前年份的一半。这个可以理解，可是说B对，却实在不明白，B中的while后面不是一个完整的句子，可是如果说B是省略了前面的主语mechanization，那这个句子就变成了while mechanization cutting...可这也还是不是一个正确的句子呀，如果说是还省略了系表动词，但前面的doubled的那个分句中也没有对应的系表动词，那怎么能省略的呀？盼望高人解释一下。

这题的主语到底是什么？如果是the emotions，为什么后面谓语动词是单数呢？Among+复数+动词，好象没有要求动词是单数呀，查了半天只有only among+复数才要求后面的动词是单数，另外，preventing the raw wounds from earlier battles from ever beginning to heal，这个应该怎么翻译比较合适一些？请各位NN指教一下了，在线等答案

2. 倒装，句子的主语是anger

among ..... + was + anger

anger was among...

呵呵，刚又仔细查了查，while从句中的省略。当while从句中的主语与主句的主语一致,且含有be的某种形式时,从句中的主语连同be可同时省略。while doing 的固定用法应该是这个原则里来的

我开始想错了，我想成mechanization of farming 不能cutting costs了，主语不一致，所以一开始没有选B

不过既然这个可以double yield也可以cutting costs.........
