AI: Although most people wish to live long lives, attempting to significantly extend the average human life span would be a mistake. If achieved, this would place an enormous burden on resources, lowering the quality of life for everyone.
Is pursuing longevity a mistake for human being? The issue is a complex and controversial one. Different people may hold different opinions due to their perspectives. On the one hand, i think far from a mistake, the desire to live long provides a driving force for us to improve our living conditions and environment. On the other hand, the longevity is its self a good indicator of the life quality that we enjoy. I would like to reason and provide evidence to substantiate my opinion.
In the first place, the important reason to present is that to live longer, desired intuitively, we human beings are striving to improve our environment, prevent disease, reduce pollution and adopt healthier diet. A good example is the booming market for health food made of natural ingredient. As the saying goes"you're what you eat" To live longer and better, people pay more attention to the quality of the food rather than take whatever available, thus improving considerably their quality of life.
In addition, another reason to justify my statement is that in order to live longer, people learn to analyze the factors affecting their quality and longevity of life.As people becoming increasingly aware of the importance of environment and natural resources, we're attempting to adopt a more sustainable mode of development, that is, to optimize the allocation of natural resources while take the best advantages of technology and human wisdom.
