Hi Everyone, I am thinking of preparing my MBA application for 2009 - US B-school. I haven't taken GMAT yet, and am planning to get it done around April next year.

My background is bachelor degree in CS and Economics in a top Canadian University, and MSc. degree in Applied CS on part-time basis. Currently I have 5+ years experience in wireless industry. My professinal work is more core software design. The post-MBA I am looking for is product management (marketing/strategy) or consulting in the industry by leveraging my previous domain knowlege/experience.

Do you think MMM program is good for me? what kind of candidates MMM adcom is looking for? Does my core engineering development background hinder my chances?

You can check the school website for what kind of students MMM program is looking for. Basically, it is those who have an engineering background and have passion for either operations or innovations. However, it is you who have to figure out whether MMM is good for you.

Core R&D background is fine, as long as you can show those attributes that Kellogg is looking for.

请教一个填表的小问题：
在添GPA的时候，必须转换成4.0的格式么？不能添百分制么？

It has been two years since I filled my application, so don't remember the details. If the system forces you to use 4.0, then you probably have to. Should be straightforward, right?

我被Waitlist了。Kellogg2008,请问你认识被waitlist然后经过努力拿到admission的同学吗？Kellogg是我最想去的学校，也是我第一轮唯一申请的学校。我9月份参加了你们China business Club得kick-off party, 还专门为Kellogg在deadline前一个星期考了托福（其他所有top ten school都不要）。想不到还是被WL，很郁闷。可能因为是我第一个申请的学校，ESSAY写得不够好。能告诉我还有什么我可以做的吗？非常感谢你的帮助。
