B 用with首先比后面的直接用动词就不直接，此外 techniques to genetically enhance ，让人感觉着技术本身直接就事情给做了，不合逻辑。
D which无合适指代，makes更证明这一点

开始是选择E 死活想不明白为什么C比E好
后来还是从句子逻辑上想表达的意思出发：句子想表达researchers 用了一个曾经用过的技术完成了一些事情，所以这个技术被用过是必须表达的点，唯有此same才能被说明，不然逻辑上完全可以是2种近似的技术。

站在这个角度，for表达的是客观属性，而used to则很好的表达了主管目的。
另外个人认为E 里that完全可以指代techniques，特别是前面是一个介词短语的时候，OG里也有类似题目，具体记不清了，就是那个什么测谎仪的工作原理的那题。

the same as (that)的用法，还有techniques for 的用法；觉得应该选择E，虽然E中的that从句有跳跃修饰和them指代不清的嫌疑，但是觉得比其他选项好些。techniques for 是固定用法。C的used to 显得啰嗦。

E, 不确定，感觉比其他好，AB逻辑关系错，Cused to 决定罗嗦，重复，而且里面还套了个句子，D which 模糊

支持C，used to 是用来修饰technique 的。So that 之后的代词是指离so that 最近的一个动词所指的对象。在这一题是指plants. 参看OG

D/E错在which和that都是就近修饰plants，显然D中which后的动词makes和指代的主语plants（复数）不一致，而且makes的动作发出者应该是techniques，所以不能用定从，于是剩下答案C。

多谢了，我做题的时候就是感觉这个they指代比较奇怪,这里可能会优先指代主句的主语，选相对正确的，也选了C.

对og的重视度确实需要加强。可惜就是时间不多了

解题思路：

主语是researchers，从CDE中选

C没问题，放一放

D which修饰plants错

E 首先for doing表示目的不好，其次that有修饰plants的歧义

the same that 的结构，一般same 和 that之间就是要说的名词

所以选C

they/them指代的是plants

多谢，偶的疑问其实就在于they 的指代，参考大全一题：

As researchers continue to probe the highly expressive vocal and postural language of wolves, their close resemblance to dogs has become ever more striking.

(A) their close resemblance to dogs has become

(B) the closeness of their resemblance to dogs has become

(C) the close resemblance between them and dogs has become

(D) the close resemblance between wolves and dogs becomes（D）

(E) the close resemblance of wolves with dogs becomes

这道题看上去比上一道明显，their指代有歧义，有可能指代前面句子的主语而不是最近的wolves，researchers不能象狗狗，所以选d。

这一题确实稍有不同，有so that结构，但俺也没找到前辈说的参看og是在哪里，有时候钻起牛角来啊，还真是头疼

还有一个方法：

当你怀疑they/them指代有问题，但是你发现每个选项都有they/them，而且指代的是同一样东西。它也就不是一个问题了.....
