请教两道关于过去分词，及谓语动词的语法题（9808）

这两道题我不知道怎样判断谓语动词和过去分词，以及类似的题我都不知道该怎样判断。有什么规律吗？

例如，9808-06，如果我认为found为谓语动词，The large amount of vitamin E是主语， 答案就是A, 但found不是谓语动词，所以答案是C,     要怎样判断found是谓语动词还是过去分词呢？

9808-06： ___ large amount of vitamin E found in green leaves, such as lettuce, and in cereals, especially in wheat germ.

C : There are


例如，9808-13，如果我认为conveyed为谓语动词，The letters是主语，答案就是C, 但conveyed不是谓语动词，所以答案是A,     要怎样判断conveyed是谓语动词还是过去分词呢？

9808-13: The letters of Abigail Adams to her husband and future President, John, _____ during the American Revolution, conveyed a vivid picture of the times.

A : were written
C : written

9808-06 :  large amount of vitamin E 与found是被动关系， vitamin E不能自己found自己，所以不能是found的主语， 只能是宾语。所以前面需要一个主句的主谓。
9808-13：如果你听过王海波的语法，把句子结构分析后就能清晰地看到句子的主谓宾是“the letters of abigail adams conveyed a picture of the times", 其他的都是修饰成分。 因为letter不能自己写自己，所以要被动， written前面省略了those were。 convey是否是谓语还是分词， 看意思就能看出来了。如果你硬要说were written是主句的谓语， 那么conveyed a vivid picture of the times就是用来修饰American Revolution 的了， 这样从句义与语法上就都说不通了。

如果written前面省略了those were, 那么句子就成了：
The letters of Abigail Adams ,those were written during the American Revolution, conveyed a vivid picture of the times.
这两个句子的关系是：句子written during the American Revolution 作为插入语修饰 The letters of Abigail Adams 吗？

The letters of Abigail Adams conveyed a vivid picture of the times. 能叫做主句吗？如果能，written during the American Revolution是什么从句？（主语从句？）
