Do you agree or disagree with the following
statement? Parents are the best teachers. Use specific reasons and examples to
support your answer.

    

Most
people are grateful to their parents, because their parents have taught and
helped them a lot since they were born. They are the people who teach babies
how to walk and how to speak, they are the people who teach children how to
make friends, and they are the people teach children a lot of basic techniques.
However, it is not complete true that they are the best teachers.

    

First
of all, not all of them are qualified to be a teacher. Children, who have not
sense of right or wrong, tend to imitate their parents’ behaviors unconsciously,
so it is quite possible for them to learn crude manners from their parents, since
each person has defects in words and behavior. To give an illustration,
children tend to have a cranky temper if one or both of their parents are easy to
loss the temper; and children are possible to be violent if their parents often
argue with or even fight with each other. Moreover, not all parents have true
attitudes towards of the world, value and life, so it is possible that children
are told the wrong things. For instance, children may not make friends with
black children if their parents have racial discrimination. 

Secondly,
not all parents master the good way to teach their children. Not all people are
inborn teachers, so not all people can educate children well even if they are knowledgeable.
Maybe some parents are so restrict to their children that they are not tolerant
to any faults their children made, consequently, children may usually be
punished and gradually loss their confidence. On the other hand, some parents are
so doting to their children that children are not punished that they should be awarded
when they make some mistakes, so the children do not have the sense of right or
wrong and may break the law some days in the future.

    

In
addition, even if some parents are qualified to be good teachers, they may not
the best teacher. A talented pianist can not teach his children who are talented
to mathematics. Moreover, in this fast running days, in which information and
knowledge is accumulated exponentially, parents can not teach their children
all their lives, so they need different teachers to teach their children in different
periods.

    

 In
summary, parents are the closest people around the children but are not necessarily
the best teacher, due to the limits of human defects, education methods and volume
of knowledge, so good teachers are quite crucial to our society.
