偶转学了

考虑一下要不要请hls09同学把id让给我...

如果有人也想走这条路的话我回头来写个总结。

Congratulations!

You are the first Chinese who transferred into the Harvard JD program (that I know of)

Although it is too late for me to transfer, I am sure a lot of people will be interested in your transfer experience. Thanks in advance for sharing!

This could be an invaluable experience for most of us. Hope more and more people who succeeded in entering JD program could share their thoughts and experiences with rest of us.

your school has a tie with Havard law. each school reserves around 3-5 seats every year for students transferring to the other school. So, i don't see you will have any problems.

However: Harvard law is not Yale. it ranks high but not that much better for financial returns. your school is a public school which means much cheaper tuition.

Unless you really want to work in NYC and work for those all white elite law firms, Harvard law will not yield anything more.

I would spend time to transfer to Yale if I had your GPA and went to your current school.

I think that's very true. But I didn't like Yale because it's going to be a new environment to me, and the professor that I want to work with is at Harvard. Basically I wanted the a better chance at the clerkship/teaching market. Money wise, I agree, there's no need to transfer at all.

One correction, though: Boalt isn't any cheaper than other T14, unless you are qualified for California residency.

true. i didn't realize that you are not a resident.

anyway, the competition at law school is a lot harder at Harvard. (your old school is one of most relaxed place)

You cannot lose in any way in terms of your goal of teaching either in US or in China.

Good luck!
