In such a modern world, doing things freely has become a smash hit. In many people's perspective, doing whatever they want to do is the best style of life. However, if it were (subjunctive is better) true- which I have to doubt-it is just created by the people who do not have much practical living experience. I still vividly remembered that my uncle Lee’s words:“ people, in some cases, should do things that they do not really want to do, because these things, in all probability, can have salutary impacts on people's future lives.”(maybe you should cite one more convincing word from a famous person) I can not agree with him more. The following reasons will confirm my opinion. For one thing, many things people hate to do may proved to be of vital importance in their future careers. My buddy James, a distinguished chemical professor, is a appropriate case in point. When he was young, English never appealed to him. As a matter of fact, he definitely hated to learnit. Nevertheless, english played a absolutely important role in his later career. As one part of his work, he had to make a speech in English. (As was recounted of him, he had learned English for a decade, such work was so easy for him.)(what do you want to say,and I do not think it is a good example. Maybe you should describe that his awful spoken-enlish damaged his career.) In effect, he did a excellent job that day. Without the help of English, he could not have succeed in the assignment. The most important, sometimes some things people do not like to do can save their lives. my own experience is a good example to prove this point. In the past, I never believed that the survival training skills had any use for me, since the dangerous situations that need these training skills hardly happen in real life. I learned them just because my parents forced me to learn. However, one day, these skills really helped for me. It was a Sunday afternoon, when I was in a forest alone to find some mushroom. Out of sudden, I felt a overwhelming pain in my stomach, as if I was kicked hard in that particular spot. I almost passed out. Obviously, hardly I could have enough energy to go out the forest and asked for help. At that time, The survival training which I hated much helped me out. I made a smoke with some leaves and wished someone could find me. 30 minutes later, a woodsman found me, then sent me to the nearest hospital. After treatment, the doctor told me that if I got here 5 minutes later, the conditions would deteriorate to such a extent that my life would be in grave danger. Consequently, if there were not for the survival training, I would die. Who can say people do not need to do things that they do not enjoy doing. (it is a typical ching-english. I also do not think it is a good example.) To sum up, based on the reasons above I listed, I adamantly support the idea that people should sometimes do something they do not enjoy doing.
